May....The Fun Begin!

Wow! Summer is here and June has begun. I'm thrilled to share small moments held last month. From my Vancouver trip to Canada and many tried tastes of food, new boardgames I've played with friends and anticipation of what's to come this summer!
Work had tirelessly kept me busy last month but that did not deter me from fun. Read on as I have plenty of photos to share!
I helped coordinate and throw a fun Cinco De Mayo taco party! Fellow co-workers appreciated the opportunity to eat plenty of tacos and churros filled with vanilla custard cream. Look at the plethora of food! Medina's catering company came shining through with the table set up and cooked tacos. Happy to say, everyone at my workplace enjoyed the food, they came back for two or three rounds!

As usual, could not pass up Cinco De Mayo fun without sharing my time with friends! Checked out this awesome restaurant featuring flash fried tilapia, ceviche, salsa and chips, a round of tequila shots, Modelos, a pint of horchata and many more fresh and huge portioned dishes shared amongst everyone. We had a huge turn out hanging out with friends!

Aside from work and food outings, made time to decompress playing boardgames with my boardgame group. We learned how to play Cartegena and Survive! Both were easy game plays and would recommend to buy it. Plenty of different game plays. Or course, we managed to play our usual favorites Tsuro and Terraforming Mars. Between game nights, made enough time to dine at The Cats (still considerably one of my go-to favorite restaurants), try a new boba place called Teazu located in San Jose and hang out with coworkers after work for an impromptu dinner at Odeum in Morgan Hill.

After all the festivities from beginning of May, my much anticipated trip with friends to Vancouver Canada was amazing and fun! My "Party of Five" crew made it so enjoyable, I want to come back again. We went out for dinner at The Flying Pig (highly recommend it), ate brunch at Cafe Medina and Forage, gobbled our way through Guu with Garlic and so much more. Besides eating, we definitely did sweat out the food by doing something outdoors. Biked around Stanley Park, hiked to see a breathtaking view of Vancouver, trekked our way back and forth Capilano Suspension Bridge and capped off one night by doing a late night Escape Room! Vancouver weather was so good to us, we were lucky to have done many things outside. Walked around downtown and checked out the art scene and such, sightsee around Granville Island, Gastown district, enjoyed Yaletown for some beers and sports, Westend for Japanese food and boba drinks, and made a stop to walk through Canada Place. Vancouver Canada is a must go-to destination if you love the outdoors, fresh seafood, Japanese and Chinese dining and friendly people. I can't wait to come back for another visit in the future!
